Eating

My blazer is blending well to the perfect black row of  the local "salary mens" jackets.

Our very first restaurant experince was located just across the street of our hotel. We probably would not have dared to go in without japanese speaking person to this place. There we no english spaking people or normal letters anywhere like in most local restaurants. Actually it is really hard for tourist to go to eat in restaurants if they do not speak any japanese. Or at least you need to have willingness to experiment all sort of suff when it comes to food if you order just by pointing stuff without knowing what you are ordering. We were so lucky to have someone ordering for us.  Mostly we ate at izakaya restaurants because our "guide " does not eat any meat.

At the next restaurant where we went with Hannas friends I even remenbered to take some pictures of the food we tryed. This dinner included some pretty unusual flavors for finn. But still even if the fish heads does not look so apetite stimulating all actually got eaten, even the eye bolls. Some japanese think that they are raelly delicious, I still passed this opportunity to try them out. I herd that the taste was pretty mild but structure was not so pleasant.
Would you like to try?

I have forgot what was the name of this dish, even if it kind of looks like a pizza it actually is local way of making omelet with different fillings. You can add as much spices as you like.

We also cooked by our selves from local incredients many times because we had the luxury of living in Kioto at Hannas friends home. Above you can see some home made diches. Stuff at big bowl is Japanese hotpot.

Pictures above are my last dinner at Kioto. I got to fry the meet by my self. This was the only meal that I ate all by myself. Usually we ate the common japanese way by sharing all ordered food. This way you get to taste everyhing and do not need to settle for only one kind of food if it happens that the food you ordered was not so good choice in this particular restaurant. I really liked this kind of eating culture, I think we should favor it more in Finland.
